If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s this: I’m a sucker for a good beauty product. I have to try out all of the new products each season, and so I can safely say these are my go-to products going into the autumn weather – although you’ll notice by the dirty packaging that they’ve been well loved for quite some time now. On a side note, lip products are possibly the best thing to shop seasonally for but I didn’t include them here because I link each one on my outfit posts, so you’ll have plenty of them headed your way soon. You might want to pause now and grab a cup of tea and a snack because this is a long one – sorry!
Chloe Eau de Parfum: This has been my favourite scent during cooler weather for a few years now. It’s a heavier floral scent which I find to smell more sophisticated.
Peter Thomas Roth Max Complexion Correction Pads: Aside from the fact that these smell like a peach bellini, I love that they provide chemical exfoliation and have helped even out my skin texture – as a plus, you can cut the pads in half to get double the amount! However, since it contains various acids it would likely not be great for sensitive skin.
Tatcha Balanced Pore Perfecting Water Gel: I use this as my morning moisturizer. It’s great for anyone who gets a little bit oily, and I’ve found it works well under my makeup too, even when I don’t wear a primer!
Lush A French Kiss: Toss this little cutie into your bath for lots of lavender and rosemary scented bubbles! I’m a fan of a lot of Lush products, but this scent is a super relaxing addition to my nighttime routine. As a bonus, you can easily break it in half and get two baths out of it.
Seaberry Restorative Body Cream: This body lotion is good, but what I like most about it is the scent; it smells herbally like a spa, and is great to use after the Lush bath products.
Armani Eyes to Kill, Waterproof Mascara: I’ll be the first to admit that this mascara is expensive, and I’d normally not be able to justify the price tag, but it’s the only mascara I’ve found that never runs or smudges, which is typically a problem on my smaller eyes.
Marc Jacobs The Face III Foundation Brush (amazing dupe HERE) & Cover FX Custom Cover Drops: Both of these products are really great on their own, but together they are unbelievable! I don’t use the Cover FX drops like you’re supposed to – they are meant to mix with other foundations or lotions to give it more coverage – instead I just take a small dab of it alone a use it as my foundation. With the brush, it blends right into the skin and gives such great coverage I rarely use concealer. This has to be one of the best parts of my makeup routine because I even got my mom and sister hooked on them. p.s. You can tell this is tried and true because that brush is certainly well loved.
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil: Now, I won’t pretend that this eyeliner isn’t in rough shape, but I spilled nail polish on it, and well, what’s a girl to do when she uses it every day still?! All of the Urban Decay eyeliners are insanely smooth and last all day, but this colour is a top pick for me because you can apply it without being too precise and it’s universal enough to use with any makeup look.
Becca Mineral Blush, Lantana: A lot of people are intimidated by the bright poppy red colour of this blush, but because the formula is so smooth, you just need the tiniest bit on a fluffy blush brush to add an autumn toned flush to your cheeks.
Makeup Forever Pro Bronze Fusion Bronzer: I’d be a liar if I said this was my favourite just for Fall, because I use this bronzer all year round. It’s my favourite of all time. Ever. It’s waterproof which is amazing for hot weather, but the reason I never switch it up no matter the season is because this applies to the skin like a cream even though it’s a powder formula, so you never look cakey or powdery – even if you use it to bronze your entire face!
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blush, Copper: In the name of honesty, I’ll disclose that my beloved copper blush was limited edition last year. The good news is that Becca recently came out with a nearly identical product as part of their permenant collection – yay! This copper colour is, again, my favourite blush colour of life. Although the one I have is technically a highlighter I use it as a blush, and 9 times out of 10 if you see me, this is what I’m wearing because it gives your cheeks a healthy sun kissed glow and is so neutral you never have to think about what you pair it with. I.can’t.get.enough.
Makeup Geek Starry Eyed (top left), MAC Saddle (top right), MAC Shroom (bottom left), Makeup Geek Flame Thrower (bottom right): All of these colours are perfect to create a neutral autumn look. Flame Thrower is a foiled, rich, copper colour that looks very metallic when you apply it with a damp brush, which adds a pop of seasonal colour. The Makeup Geek foiled shadows are hands down the best eye shadow formula I’ve ever used, and it’s safe to say I’ve tried almost all of them out there.
